The Design phase is a consulting service CIS offer by encapsulating a full range of design specialists. During this phase CIS will do a full audit on the client expectations and requirements, giving us both a holistic overview and an in-depth analysis of key data. CIS will design a best practice solution for the customer by making use of our technology partners, ensuring business continuity and identifying the business benefits.
CIS design team follow only international standards and industry best practice methodologies in our designs. CIS design team provides value-engineered, buildable designs based on the above practices. Our team of designers is as follows:

• Dr. Andries Putter (D.Eng) is the Consulting Electrical Engineer for CIS. Dr. Putter has extensive experience in the power industry and has over the years patented some of his designs. Dr. Putter has also been a key resource for numerous data center designs regarding power with cost reduction and maximum/redundant power output resulting in a true N+1 data center. The matrix distribution power design is one of his patents and licensed to CIS.

• Tanja Schutte (RCDD & CDCD) is the Data Center design specialist. Tanja is a qualified Registered Communication Distribution Designer and a Certified Data Center Designer. Tanja has extensive experience in this field and has been involved with major data center designs over the last four years. The RCDD & CDCD qualification has been done through BICSI (Building International Consulting Standards Industry) an independent organization which incorporates industry standards, and ensuring design and implementation are according to those standards.
