With accelerated infrastructure role-out requirements telecommunication providers can no longer afford the time taken by the provision of traditional power reticulation at base stations which require multi-vendor involvement, designs, acceptance and handover.

To solve this problem Clearline Engineers have worked with telecommunication companies to develop the Integrated Power Solution, a single integrated, modular approach to electrical reticulation. While the concept originated to solve a problem in the telecommunications industry, the IPS has wide application from mining to general industry.

The IPS simplifies the reticulation by integrating the various elements into a single rack. Since the unit is pre-assembled, quality checked and functionally tested, installation is fast.  A typical installation now takes less than 2 days and consolidation of supply can reduce material cost by as much as 50%.

The entire IPS system is integrated into a standard 50 cm rack (19”). The modular design ensures that upgrading is almost limitless. This also means that the infinite combinations of elements which can be integrated ensure that IPS's are available for every conceivable application and quality of supply.

The various components and the main supply are simply plugged in using pre-assembled cables and connectors.

Due to versatility of the Clearline IPS, no standard specification exists. Instead, customers specify their requirements on a checklist and IPS units are manufactured and tested ready for supply and installation.
